I have the 270H Comp Cams, I couldn't get it to idle below 1000rpms since this last weekend. WebOct 21, 2006 · I have just installed the M-6007-XB3 crate motor from Ford with an E-cam. It has a 70MM throttle body, Holley Systemax upper and lower intake, GT40 heads, X-pipe and flowmasters. From 1,500 RPM to 2500 there is a little pep, but it's a dog from 2,500 - 3,500. After 3,500 there is an abundance of power.

WebNov 20, 2002 · Another method of suspecting it might have jumped timing is to rotate the crank in one direction to take the slack up in the timing chain. Then watching the distributor rotor while you turn the crank in the other direction. If the crank moves more than a few degrees (say 3-5*) then the chain is way loose and possible slipped a tooth. You'll have to plug the oil hole that is in the engine from the old oil dipstick. Also, you'll need to get a steel distributor gear to replace the iron gear that is currently on your distributor. This is needed for the steel roller cam.
